Predefined Feature Searches

Specific shortcut searches exist to help you find important data.

Accessing the predefined searches

The Find and Query Builder tasks can be displayed by clicking the "Search" tab in the menu area.

All available searches are listed in the Search pane. To work with one of them, expand the search panel by clicking the expand arrow next to the desired search name.

Locate Lot (by Address)

Locate Lot (by Address) allows you to find a specific parcel (or 'lot') by entering a street address number and all or part of a street name.

  1. Enter the exact address number in the first box.
  2. Enter the street name in the second box.
  3. The street name field allows the use of the wildcard % character.
  4. Click the Find button to start the search.

Locate Lot (by Lot Number)

Locate Lot (by Lot Number) allows you to find a specific parcel (or 'lot') by choosing a subdivision and a section and by specifying all or part of a lot number.

  1. Choose a subdivision in the first drop-down box. The "Find" button will grey out briefly while the application queries for section numbers and adds them to the Section drop-down.
  2. Choose a section from the second drop-down box. Leave the "--choose one--" option showing if you don't want to search for a specific section.
  3. Enter the lot number desired.
  4. The lot number field allows the use of the wildcard % character.
  5. Click the Find button to start the search.

Locate Manhole

Locate Manhole allows you to find a specific manhole (from the 'sanitary sewer structures' layer) by entering a manhole number.

  1. Enter all or part of the manhole number desired in the box provided.
  2. Wildcards are built in to this search automatically. The search shown on the left will return all manholes with RW in the ID. The search on the right will return all values with RW-4-084.00.
  3. Click the Find button to start the search.

The results

The Results section expands in the Console to display results of the search (if it does not expand automatically, click the down-arrow in the Results section to display it). The text searched for displays in the results item.
